Apostolic Pentecost Around The World!

 One of the most incredible mysteries in my life is "How is it even POSSIBLE  that someone who grew up completely sheltered in False Religions grip would EVER find the Church established once and for all on the day of Pentecost????" I think the answer is so complex but a major part of that is Jesus own prophecy that if HE would be LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH (speaking of the manner of his death) ***HE*** would draw ALL MEN unto himself! He draws all men but not all men respond)

•  THANK GOD I DID!

 To me one of the sweetest pieces of knowledge in my soul, is that no matter what *I* may be going through in my own personal walk with God at any given time,  that SOMEWHERE around the world there are men women boys and girls from every kindred and tongue who have thrown off the shackles of tradition and have embraced the truths that Jesus Christ established through his Death Burial  and Ressurection  .

 I mean JUST THINK ABOUT IT! THE HOLY GHOST IS BEING POURED ON ALL FLESH JUST LIKE THE PROPHET SAID!  JAMAICA, GERMANY, AMERICA, NIGERIA! AND ONE DAY I GOT IT TOO! Praise GOD!

This Guy REALLY Challenges Me! AND Impresses me!!!!!!!

You know, even though like me ,you may not have a television in your home, or even listen to the radio much, you can hardly have gone the past several weeks without hearing or reading about THIS GUY.

 Almost everytime I log onto Yahoo to check my email, THERE IS ANOTHER  STORY ABOUT HIM! But not JUST about him, but more to the point, his FAITH IN GOD AND DESIRE TO OPENLY TESTIFY OF IT TO THOSE WATCHING HIM! His name is Tim Tebow and oddly enough it is his FAITH and the EXPRESSION of it that seems to be causing so many in the world to get besides themselves with  criticism. Here is a picture of him just before going out on the frield to play.....

 When I saw this the  first thing I  felt was a deep deep thrill in my spirit! ANY friend of Jesus is a friend of mine! And I genuinely LOVE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE LORD! And if there is something *I* know about the Lord that they haven't discovered yet, I don't want to bludgeon them to death with it but rather SHARE THAT TRUTH with them with an attitude that  lifts Jesus *AND THEM*  UP!

 

 What alot of people who came in during that great nationwide revival that swept America back in the late 1960's early 70's (And let me tell you... I have YET to see its equal! STILL HOPING TO THOUGH!)

 But what many of us who came in  in those days may never actually have considered are  that the SEEDS of that great revival didn't come from the church on the whole but rather from a VERY unusual background!

 POP CULTURE!

 Our hearts began turning to God NOT from sermons we listened to  (Most of us didn't even know what the WORD Pentecostal meant let alone knew that there were such things as "PENTECOSTAL CHURCHES") but rather from a very unusual source! 

 Who remembers the popular songs of those days? Oh Happy Day... I Don't Know How To Love Him...Day by Day...There's a New World Comin;... Spirit in the Sky... the songs of the WORLD started more and more to call out to Jesus and actually LIFT HIM UP! Those hippy kids began to be affected more and more and more until there was a great RUSH into the Kingdom of God and Act's 2:38 salvation!

 Many of todays great men and women of God were HIPPY KIDS Back then whose hearts were stirred to seek God by the very culture that they lived in!

 Brother Larry Booker's writings about HIS conversion are just one of MANY stories of kids coming in to the Kingdom in that great revival! And for many of us it started as we listened to the ROCK AND ROLL stations (!)     (I can't believe I am actually writing this and am sure that it will cause me much grief but it's the truth anyway) but for many of us that revival started as we listened to  such songs as "JESUS CHRIST JESUS CHRIST OH' HOW YOU FOUGHT HOW YOU SACRIFICED!" I mean just THINKING about the move of God that went along with those days sends Holy Ghost shivers up and down my spine!

 Here it is a DIFFERENT CENTURY ( YIKES ! I can't believe I am writing THAT either!) And once again I feel that same stirring out there in the WORLD! An hunger for something real! Something lasting and satisfying! And to see a major Football star out there with just ONE MESSAGE TO PROCLAIM.......

 "That God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son That Whoseover Believeth on Him Should Not Perish But Have Everlasting Life" John3:16..

Well........ WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND COULD SAY ANYTHING OTHER THAN "I WISH I WAS SO BOLD WITH ***MY***FAITH!'

 I pray God Blesses This Guy and brings him the FULLNESS of Life that he is telling others about through HIS testimony! I AM IMPRESSED! Thank God For men Like TIM TEBOW!

FIRST PART ONE.....

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AP) — Members of a radical Muslim sect attacked a church in northeast Nigeria during a worship service, part of a series of assaults that killed at least 13 people, authorities said Saturday.

The church shooting came as Boko Haram members attacked a beauty salon and fought government forces Friday night as part of its continuing sectarian battle against Nigeria's weak central government. In the last few days alone, the group has killed at least 44 people, despite the oil-rich nation's president declaring a state of emergency in regions hit by the sect.

In Yola, the capital of Adamawa state, gunmen covered their faces with black cloth when they attacked Apostolic Church, local police commissioner Ade Shinaba said. Shinaba said at least eight worshippers died in that attack.

 "Three gunmen with their faces covered with black cloth burst in and started shooting   chanting, 'God is great, God is great,'" said Stephen Tizhe, 35.

 No arrests have been made in  the  attack, authorities said.

The attacks Friday night came after gunmen claimed by Boko Haram attacked a town hall earlier that day in Mubi, Adamawa state, killing at least 20 people who had gathered for a meeting of the Christian Igbo ethnic group. On Thursday night, the sect also attacked a church in Gombe state, killing at least eight people.

 Brother Joseph Ayodele our first Missionary to go out from the church has worked like a dog to get us this far in just a matter of WEEKS!

 Not only have we purchased the land and gotten this far BUT several vehicles have already been purchased here in Germany and shipped down to Nigeria for the work including a VAN and A BUS!!!!

  The building project has two phases on this site. First the building going up now will serve as the sanctuary and bathrooms in stage one and later a much larger sanctuary will be erected on the land directly in front of the building you see here.

 (Land for other assemblies has already been purchased in Nigeria as well!)

Already vehicles including a van and a BUS have been shipped down to Nigeria for this work! What was only a slab foundation a few weeks back now has a largely completed building shell erected on it!

 The kindness of so many Apostolic Churches in America have made this possible so far! Your generosity is superb! Please help us FINISH this job! Brother Ayodele and his wife are NOT AFRAID to put their lives on the line in terror riven Nigeria to preach truth, but without your help how can they possibly finish this job?

Two Of My Favourite Testimonies Of All Time!

 One of the things I love best about the congregational worship of God is the privilege that God gives his people to be more than MERE SPECTATORS , but to be VITALLY IMPORTANT PARTICIPANTS in the service of the Lord.

I know growing up in the church I was born and raised in such a thing as actually being allowed to stand up , unscripted, and just speak something God had done for you, or some miracle of deliverance he had performed for you , or even some understanding of his Word that he had given you was just NEVER gonna happen!

Here is a youtube clip from Bishop Ellis Apostolic Church in Detroit from years back that just leaves me on the verge of running the aisles every time I listen to it!

Actually it is two separate testimonies.

First a young lady who found Acts 2:38 salvation in Prison

Second a young man who gives a six word testimony that brings the power of God down in a way that can only be compared to Lightning Hitting The Congregation!

 I know that many mockers and scorners will watch it and think " Look at how those Apostolics Act in the House of God! SHAMEFUL"

Actually , could not care LESS , because as the old song says...

BALLOON BOY

 A couple years ago I was in America driving from Dallas, Texas to Little Rock, Arkansas. I had the radio on to the Sean Hannity Show and he kept interrupting the normal show with a breaking story that just GRIPPED my heart!

 It seems that they were following this huge  home made  balloon like a weather balloon that a man had built. He said that he had left his kids out playing in the back yard and that the littlest one evidently had crawled INSIDE the basket attached to the bottom of the balloon and that then the tether BROKE and that the balloon was now sailing across country with this little boy stuck in it!

 They even had the AIRFORCE TRACKING THIS BALLOON trying to figure out HOW ON EARTH TO SAVE THIS CHILD!

 The whole COUNTRY I'm sure was just as heartbroken as I was. All I could do as I prayed for his safety was think OH GOD! THIS LITTLE BOY! PLEASE LORD! HELP HIM!!!!!!!!

And they followed the balloon across the skies and by then that is ALL Sean Hannity or any of the other stations were talking about!

 As I drove I could only weep and pray for that little boys safety!

And then the balloon came back down to earth!

 They rushed  to the balloon, Looked inside......

"IS HE ALRIGHT?????"

 NOTHING!

 ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

 NO BALLOON BOY!!!!

 IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY!!!!!!

 Did he fall out unnoticed over the country side, Oh NO!

 Did he somehow get OUT????

 Nope. 

 It was all a HOAX! He had never been in the balloon in the first place!

 THE WHOLE THING HAD BEEN A LIE!

A CAREFULLY CONSTRUCTED AND THOUGHT OUT LIE!

 His FATHER had cooked up the whole scheme to use the media attention to further HIS agenda!

You know that is one of the most horrible things you can experience in life , DISCOVERING

that YOU are the VICTIM of a HOAX!!!!!  That you have been USED!

 THAT THINGS ARE ***NOT*** AS THEY SEEM!

God had created something that he loved so much that he actually had created it in his OWN IMAGE AND LIKENESS!

Something that God could take great delight not only in LOVING but in TEACHING and developing!

He made MAN!

 He gave man EVERYTHING!

 It was ALL for him!

 He was to rule and reign over all creation! It had been made expressly FOR man!  Man didn't know it but when God looked at man he saw some of himself in man!

 Man was the very epitome of Gods creativity!

HIS SON

 There was just one thing God told man!

 "You may eat from ALL the trees save one. The Tree of the Fruit of the Knowledge of Good and Evil!

Son, The Day You Eat From That Tree Is  The Day You Die!"

The tree wasn't a "BAD" tree.

Trees have no innate virtue or evil, they are just TREES.

 But the thing that made THIS tree so important was that it represented a very VERY IMPORTANT principle!

 Man NEEDS God!

 For as many as are led by the SPIRIT of God They are the SONS of God!

The tree was just a physical type of a spiritual TRUTH!

 That even if man could master all the THOU SHALT NOTS and the THOU SHALTS

IT STILL IS NOT ENOUGH!

MAN  NEEDS  GOD!!!!!

 God didn't set a temptation in front of man. God merely appointed a tree as a symbol of a reality inherent in man. That he had been created with the freedom in his spirit to CHOOSE or NOT CHOOSE to obey God! God pleaded with man

 "CHOOSE ME! YOU NEED ME!"

You see what God was really saying is "It's all yours son! All of it! It's all for you! I love you! BUT don't EVER EVER EVER think you can get to the place where you don't need me! Son the day you think YOU don't need ME is the day you DIE!"

 Sure enough the Devil came with his HOAX!

The Very First Words Ever Spoken By The Devil In The Bible Are...

"YEA, HATH GOD SAID????"

 He started his shell game with the woman God had created for Adam...

" Yea! Hath God Said you have to keep this whole garden., work here among ALL these trees and you can't eat from ANY of them??? That hardly seems right!"

" Oh NO!"  Said the Woman, "It's not like that at ALL! We can eat from ALL of the trees! All of the trees except ONE! The tree of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil! The day we eat from THAT tree we will surely die!"

" AH! I SEE" said the devil.

 " WELL YOU KNOW WHAT?  YOU WON'T DIE! OH NO! YOU KNOW ***WHY *** GOD DOESN'T WANT YOU TO EAT FROM THAT TREE? BECAUSE THE DAY YOU EAT FROM THAT TREE, ***YOU WON'T NEED HIM ANYMORE****! THAT'S RIGHT! THE DAY YOU EAT FROM *THAT* TREE IS THE DAY YOU WILL BE LIKE GODS YOURSELVES! "

 HOAX! BIG EMPTY BALLOON BOY HOAX!

 As the woman ate she ingested something that STILL plagues the human race today, The Thinking that...

 IF I CAN JUST DO ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE RIGHT TO DO AND DON'T DO ANY OF THE THINGS THAT ARE WRONG TO DO THEN I WILL MAKE IT! I WON'T NEED GOD!

That is why Paul wrote and said ..

 That by the works of the Law shall NO FLESH be justified in his sight!

 YOU AND I NEED GOD!

You and I are surrounded by a humanity that so often has no time or room for God in their lives!

 "I LIVE A GOOD LIFE! I DO GOOD THINGS! I AVOID DOING EVIL! I DON'T NEED ANYTHING ELSE!" 

 and yet day by day the emptiness and desperation of a Godless life slowly wears them out and brings them down.

 And yet Jesus stands ever ready to forgive and create a NEW heart in each of us! One that realizes its NEED of him!

 The song said it so beautifuly

 "BORN TO DIE

JUST A BEGGAR IN THIS WORLD

I WAS BORN TO DIE

JUST ANOTHER EMPTY SOUL

BUT THEN ONE DAY

THE LORD BAPTIZED ME WITH

THE HOLY GHOST

AND NOW I'M BORN TO LIVE!"

You may be living a life that has drifted far from God.

You may have said to yourself

I DON'T NEED GOD

 IF I CAN JUST KEEP ALL THE THOU SHALTS AND DO NONE OF THE THOU SHALT NOTS I WILL MAKE IT!

 HOW'S THAT WORKIN' OUT FOR YA?

God stands ever ready not only to forgive but to save! 

To HEAL

TO RESTORE

                                                                     TO DELIVER

 YOU NEED HIM!

Don't come to the end of life only to find it as empty as balloon boys balloon. Come to God today! He loves you and longs for that relationship and friendship with you that a good father longs for with his son.

  Have you experienced him in the fullness of the Holy Ghost?

THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THE UTTERANCE!

 Congratulations sister Abby on receiving the Baptism of the Holy Ghost!

And so the question continues... Have YOU experienced Jesus in the Fullness of the Holy Ghost?

It's A German Thing!

 Time Changes Things! It really does!

I remember just a few short years ago starting the work here in Augsburg, Germany, how hard things were.

New Years Eve Watch Night Services would be just Three People, ME MYSELF AND I.

 I would spend the evening totally alone in the church, praying, singing, worshipping and then at midnight I would take the Lords Supper, just Jesus and me.

 That old devil would try and crash the evening "What a failure! There'll never be anything here! QUIT AND GO HOME!"

 The biggest enemy being NOT the world but BRETHREN FALSELY CALLED SO.

I would want so bad to go home! 

But really WHERE WAS HOME ?

 I wasn't even sure anymore!

 Was it the Middle East?

 Chicago??

California???

Louisiana????

 Dallas Fort Worth????? (I could STILL really get into THAT!)

I would spend hours praying "LORD WHERE SHOULD I GO??????

 But the Lord would just say.....

 STAY IN YOUR PLACE!

 To say that the adversary unleashed everything against me that God would allow him to is an understatement!

What the devil thought was Discouragement after Discouragement was really just the seeds of TESTIMONY AFTER TESTIMONY that he was handing me! (He's so dumb! I wonder if he knows that?)

Last night was another watch night but as the years have gone by the FRUIT of FAITH has manifested itself!

 A Church FILLED! Praises! Dancing! Rejoicing! Testimonies of many who over the past few years have had God TURN THEIR LIFE AROUND!

 Many now Baptized in Jesus Name and Filled with the Holy Ghost who just a year or two ago were living miserable shattered existences without hope!

 As we prayed the old year out and the new year in THIS YEAR as the crowd around the Lords Table was bigger than ever before, singing THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD I thought.......

 THERE IS NO PLACE ELSE I'D RATHER BE THAN RIGHT HERE LORD SURROUNDED BY THE MARVELLOUS FRUIT THAT YOU HAVE GIVEN ME!

 Men and women from several continents Born again of the Water and the Spirit Loving God!

We took the Lords supper and then had fireworks! This year our fireworks were so fantastic! Everybody seemed to have brought Sky Rockets and firecrackers and whirling deals on the ground! It was great!

 And the food!

Hot Dogs, Bratwursts, WeisWurst, Cole Slaw, Cakes, You name it we had it!

 We didn't get out of the church til almost four am this morning!

 WHAT A DIFFERENCE HOLDING ON CAN MAKE IN THE FACE OF DEEP UNREMITTING DISSAPOINTMENTS!

 I and the church here in Augsburg  , Apostolic Lighthouse are living proof that the old saying is true....

 God *IS* Faithful!

 Do you know him yet in the fullness of the Holy Ghost?
